La Sportiva
Narciso Delladio started the Italian footwear company La Sportiva in 1928. In the Fassa and Fiemme valleys of the Dolomites, he began by making boots and clogs for farmers and lumberjacks. He worked to get Italy's soldiers specially made mountaineering boots during World War II.
