Lake of the Forest

Lake of the Forest is a gated community with 163 homes built around a 40-acre lake and connected by winding roads on two sides. They are halfway between Edwardsville and Bonner Springs on Kansas Highway 32, just a few miles from either I-435 or I-70.

Their clubhouse can be rented for anything from a corporate workshop to an outdoor wedding or a high school prom. The rooms are very versatile, as you can see in the photos below, and can accommodate both small and large events. Tables and chairs can be placed on the surrounding porch when the weather permits to extend your party outside.

For the rest of the year, both heat and air conditioning are available. Weddings have been held in front of the fireplace, on the ballroom stage, on the porch, in front of the clubhouse by the fountain, and across the street at the lake front under the trees.

The Fire Marshal has determined that the dining room can seat 60 people and the ballroom can hold 214. You are welcome to use the chairs and tables provided or rent your own. Both levels of the building are handicapped accessible and have restrooms. The kitchen and its appliances are also available to you.
