Land Rover 1948

The Land Rover collection is compact British off-avenue cars, produced by the Rover Company considering that 1948, and later by British Leyland. Though inspired by the World War II Jeep, the Land Rover straight away distinguished itself from all different cars.

Contrary to traditional vehicle and truck chassis, it used a sturdier completely box-welded frame. Furthermore, because of the post-struggle fare metal shortage, and aluminum surplus, Land Rovers obtained non-rusting aluminum alloy bodies. In 1992, Land Rover claimed that 70% of all of the cars that they'd constructed have been nonetheless in use.

This British-made all-terrain car is now called the Series 1, even though the layout hasn't been modified notably over the years. With its boxy, utilitarian layout, the Land Rover changed into firstly the brainchild of brothers Maurice and Spencer Wilks.
