Liberty State Park
Liberty State Park was established in 1976 to commemorate the country's bicentennial. It spans over 1,200 acres on the Hudson River Waterfront, offering spectacular views of Manhattan and Downtown Jersey City.
The park offers a variety of amenities and attractions in addition to recreational activities such as grilling, fishing, hiking, biking, boating, and picnicking. You'll find two fantastic restaurants, Maritime Parc and The Liberty House, as well as a brand new beer garden, Baozi Brew. Both Maritime Parc and The Liberty House offer incredible food and views; visit in the evening for a spectacular sunset or either for an incredible brunch.
On Sundays and Tuesdays during the summer, the park hosts a free summer concert series, and it also offers kayak eco-tours and guided Segway tours. It also has a 36-acre nature preserve, which includes one of the few remaining tidal salt marshes on the Hudson River estuary. This picturesque urban park is a haven in the midst of a bustling metropolis. Visit Liberty State Park as soon as possible if only for the dining.
