Litro

Litro, located above Trastevere in the Monteverde neighborhood, is the ideal spot for stylish day drinking. The bar is open late, but it's best in the afternoon and early evening when the chilly dining room and calm outdoor patio are bathed in warm Roman light. Litro not only has one of the greatest natural wine collections in town, but it also has a fantastic cocktail menu that includes classics like the Hugo (elderflower cordial, prosecco, and mint), as well as a long variety of mezcal-based mixed drinks.

Litro's tiny but refined menu includes everything from salmon sashimi to butter and anchovy crostini, seasonal salads, and sandwiches, so there's no need to drink it all on an empty stomach. Because of its location, which is a little outside of the center of Rome, the pub has a low-key, locals-only ambiance that's perfect for lingering over a bottle of wine.
