LiveNation
Ticketmaster acquired LiveNation in 2010, and since then, it has shifted its focus to music-related events. It's more of a search engine than a traditional ticket broker, making it stand out from the rest of the sites on this list. When we tried to make a purchase, we were redirected to SeeTickets, so it's clear that this site's primary function is to serve as a gateway to discovering events.
Because of this, it's a great site to look for concert tickets, whether you're looking for a certain band or just want to browse by location, genre, or date. The hero graphics do a great job of drawing attention to specific shows and providing a straightforward visual experience. If you want to start thinking about getting concert tickets but haven't decided on a specific show, LiveNation's home page has tonnes of upcoming events to choose from.
LiveNation is mostly functioning as a search engine, thus there is little to say in terms of refund policies or the overall purchasing and selling experience. It also takes you to Ticketmaster, where you should be aware of their policies before making any purchases.
Pros:
- Part of Ticketmaster
- Great search engine
- Music events only
Cons:
- Not a ticket agency in itself
