To reach the city zoo from Tivoli Park, continue down the lower slopes of Roznik Hill. There are more than 500 different animals in the Ljubljana Zoo, representing 119 different species. The cheetahs, sea lions, Asian elephants, and two Siberian tigers are the crowd-pleasers. In addition to providing a cozy up-close view of more than 500 animals, the Ljubljana Zoo also provides a number of animal experiences or just the chance to enjoy seeing sea lions, big cats, giraffes, meerkats, and other animals at feeding time.
