Logitech C920 / C920S

Logitech's C920, an oldie but a goodie, has been the gold standard for cameras since its release in 2013. It's still undoubtedly the greatest camera for video conferencing after seven years. Other models of the camera exist, including the C920S, which has a privacy shutter, and the C922, which is intended for streaming.

The Logitech C920 comes in a variety of configurations, each with the same superb 78-degree field of vision lens that can display not just you, but also the room behind you or the individuals sitting next to you. In 2016, Senior Editor Andrew Freedman reviewed the Logitech C920 for Laptop Mag, and he was satisfied with the visual clarity and width. Time has caught up to this camera a bit, in that more recent rivals have made its color reproduction look a little washed out. But it’s still a solid, consistent performer that will serve you well if you want something tried and true.
