Lollapalooza
Lollapalooza is a four-day music event held every year in Chicago's Grant Park. It began as a touring event in 1991, but after several years, Chicago became the permanent home of the annual music festival. Alternative rock, heavy metal, punk rock, hip hop, and electronic dance music are just a few of the genres. Visual arts, nonprofit organizations, and political organizations have all been featured during Lollapalooza. The festival, which takes place in Grant Park every July, attracts an estimated 400,000 visitors and sells out every year. Lollapalooza is one of the world's largest and most recognizable music festivals, as well as one of the United States' longest-running.
Lollapalooza has something for everyone, whether you like pop, rock, hip hop, EDM, or other genres. Lollapalooza has some of music's hottest artists — Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, and the Foo Fighters were among the headliners for 2021 — and also allows guests to take advantage of all of Chicago's great attractions. The festival is forever creating historical moments in many a musician's careers firmly cementing it in the global hall of fame for festivals.
