Look, Look!
Peter Linenthal is the creator of more than a dozen children's books, some of which he also illustrated. He has been teaching art in primary schools for about thirty years and currently resides in San Francisco, California. He is the director of the Potrero Hill Archives Project and the co-author of two Arcadia on Potrero Hill books. Look, Look! is loaded with high-contrast black-and-white designs, which are perfect for infants since they are easy for their developing eyes to differentiate and will captivate their interest from an early age.
The drawings are accompanied by a few words in a red font that describe the images. This robust board book, packed with high-contrast black-and-white cut-paper graphics suitable for staring at, is ideal for the smallest newborns' eyes. A few phrases in curving red text on each spread describe the images — a car speeds, a cat stretches, flowers bloom— and broaden the book's age appeal to include older babies as well. Look Look! is an eye-catching and elegant first board book for newborns who are just starting to look and learn.
