Madison is the state capital of Wisconsin and home to around 260,000 people. The city is one of only two in North America that is located on an isthmus. Madison is home to fine dining, theater, and thriving nightlife, as well as five lakes and plenty of bike-friendly areas. Many college students reside in Madison because the city is home to the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
