Maersk Container Industry (MCI) or simply Maersk, is a Danish shipping company founded in 1904. Maersk is a family company controlled by the parent companies of the Møller family. In 2019, Maersk was split into two separate divisions, Energy, and Transport & Logistics.
Since 1996, Maersk has become the world's largest container shipping company. Maersk has headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark, with approximately 83,000 employees operating in factories. The company owns subsidiaries and offices in 130 countries worldwide.
The main service that Maersk provides is the transportation of goods by sea or inland. In addition, Maersk also provides several other related services such as port operations and supply chain management and produces some products such as cold boxes, automatic ventilation, and associated support services.
