Masuku University of Science and Technology

Taking second place is Masuku University of Science and Technology. Founded in 1986 under the requirements of Law No. 7/85 and the transfer of the Faculty of Science, National School of Engineering Libreville from Libreville to Franceville, resulted in the formation of Masuku Polytechnic School. It is supported by the Saudi Arabia Development Fund, the Islamic Development Bank, and the French Republic, and is funded by the Gabon Investment Fund. The late President of the Republic, Head of State el hadj Omar Bongo Ondimba, dedicated this university facility on December 30. Professor Crépin Ella Missang is the current leader of this group.


The university is the center of progress. The USTM-Entreprises Forum is one of the main governance actions of Professor Crépin Ella Missang, central to the university's modernization. Its goals are to review training offers and curricula to adapt to the needs of the socioeconomic world with industry partners and develop interactive partnerships to open up more of the university to the industrial world. Inaugurated in 1986 by the late President El Hadj Omar Bongo Ondimba, USTM was the first scientific institution in Gabon to provide training in both the fields of technology and basic science. The University of Science and Techniques of Masuku is one of the best university institutions in the country, consistently demonstrating a high level of teaching. Despite being one of the youngest educational institutions, the University of Science and Techniques of Masuku ranks in the national ratings of Gabon.
