Materialise NV
Materialise NV is a 3D printing and additive manufacturing firm with headquarters in Leuven, Belgium. Together with his wife Hilde Ingelaere, Wilfried Vancraen established the Rapid Prototyping Service Bureau Materialise in June 1990. Through the purchase of a single stereolithography machine (the SLA 1), it became the first business of its sort in the Benelux region of Europe.
In 1992, Materialise started creating their medical image processing software, Mimics, by digitally mapping the human anatomy in three dimensions using sliced CT imaging data. The group was also working on an industrial software solution called Magics. Both of these growth-oriented software approaches eventually saw commercial release.
In April 2023, the value of Materialise NV had risen to $0.46 billion. In terms of market capitalization, this places Materialise NV at No. 5424 worldwide. The most recent annual report for Materialise NV shows TTM revenue of $0.24 billion. The company's revenue in 2021 was $0.23 billion, up from the $0.19 billion it made in 2020.
