Mealime

Mealime includes a ton of outstanding recipes, all of which are beautifully shot and presented. The primary disadvantage of this software is that it does not allow you to have everything you want unless you pay for it. Mealime, like the other recipe apps we evaluated, has a free and paid version, but it promotes Mealime Pro significantly more prominently than other premium apps, with a large chunk of the app's recipes reserved for those with Pro plans. Pro is only $5.99, which we think is a fair price to pay for a large number of healthy and unique recipes available.

One of the most popular features of this app is that it is designed to reduce food waste. Some recipes call for absurdly large amounts of ingredients, such as two-thirds of lime or an unwieldy portion of a bag of carrots. Mealime aims to utilize reasonable amounts of food in its recipes, so you will not end up with an oddly small cut of meat in your fridge that you have to throw away. You can access full plans meant to use every last mouthful of your grocery store with Mealime Pro, but the free version requires a lot more guesswork.
