Medieval Days

Medieval Days is known as the most famous festival in San Marino, for visitors and people interested in the history of the Middle Ages. In July every year, Medieval Days is organized and attracted a large number of local people, especially shop owners in the historic old town, wearing medieval costumes, and many ancient events taking place. The most common is the crossbow shooting contest held in the main square.

At Medieval Days, San Marino's historic center is turned into a real medieval village. Artisans, traders, inn owners, and ordinary people are wearing costumes and making towns with past activities. This most famous festival in San was first held in 1997, with the cooperation of Federazione Balestrieri Samparinesi, the event was born as a reproduction of the street history and buildings of San Marino City, keeping the charm of the old world.
