Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle declared in 2020 that they would be leaving their roles as members of the royal family and starting over. However, this is not where our story starts. The relationship between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was the focus of UK tabloids from the start. People even noted the obvious contrast between the media's treatment of Markle and Kate Middleton.
Some of the best instances of this prejudice may be found in news headlines, such as one from 2017 about how Prince William surprised Middleton with an avocado while she was pregnant. Tabloids instead talked on how Markle's use of avocados in 2019 while she was pregnant and eating them on toast was associated with drought and violations of human rights. Even though this is an absurd example, it is not the worst one. William and Kate established businesses in 2014 to safeguard their reputation. However, Prince Harry and Meghan appeared to be indulging in a blatant cash grab when they did it in 2020.
She said to Oprah in a 2020 interview that she came dangerously close to killing herself while talking about how the media damaged her mental health. The treatment Prince Harry was receiving made him uncomfortably think of his mother Diana, who had endured a similar situation while a member of the royal family. The host of Good Morning Britain, Piers Morgan, who is never afraid to criticize a subject, called the interview a "2-hour trash-a-thon of our royal family." When she talked about her mental health, he kept calling her manipulative. Sadly, he is not the only one on the warpath against the Duchess of Sussex.
