Molten
Molten is the world's largest manufacturer of balls and sports equipment, having been founded in 1958. For over 30 years, the Japanese company has been creating balls for a variety of team sports, including soccer, and has therefore become the official basketball manufacturer for all FIBA events and all Olympic Games throughout the world.
In terms of the beautiful game, FIFA accepted its first soccer ball as an "official ball" in 1973. They became the official supplier of soccer balls to the Japanese Professional Football League (JLeague) in 1991, nine years after the first soccer ball was approved by the Japan Football Association as a "checked ball."
Molten applied the technique to the Teamgeist project decades later, collaborating with Adidas to create the official ball for the 2006 World Cup in Germany. In 2017, the Japanese firm acquired a deal with UEFA to become the official ball supplier for the UEFA Europa League club championships, taking over from Adidas from 2018 to 2020.
