Motheo Construction Group was founded in 1997 by Dr Thandi Ndlovu and has a 24-year history of growing into one of South Africa's leading predominantly black women construction companies.

Motheo Construction, the leading Social Housing provider in the country has grown organically by reinvesting its earnings to finance the company's growth and since its inception it has distributed about 1.5% of all social housing is developed or built in South Africa.

The company is currently registered with the CIDB as a 9 GBPE and 9 CEPE level. Motheo has been registered with NHBRC since its inception and remains in Good status. Through the involvement of Dr Ndlovu, Motheo is a founding member and a leading role player in SAWIC, South African Women in Construction with an annual turnover of US$409 million.
