(RIL), the world's largest oil refining plant, and ranks tenth among the world's wealthiest people in 2022. In terms of net wealth, he is the richest Indian. RIL is a $74 billion company comprising petrochemicals, oil and gas, telecommunications, and retail assets. His late father, Dhirubhai Ambani, a yarn dealer, founded Reliance in 1966 as a small textile company. When his father died in 2002, Ambani and his younger brother Anil shared the family fortune.
