In spite of being the most frequented museum in the world, The National Museum of China is also relatively young. It was established as the result of a merger between the Museum of the Chinese Revolution and the National Museum of Chinese History in 2003.
The National Museum of China focuses on educating visitors about Chinese history by regularly updating its collection. Some of the many impressive pieces in the National Museum of China include:
