More than 450 thousand independent musicians had signed up with NetEase Cloud Music as of May 2022. By December 2022, there were over 611 thousand registered artists, and the music database had more than 60 million tracks. It primarily competes with Tencent's QQ Music, making it one of the biggest competitors in the Chinese music streaming market.
