New Plymouth
For individuals who enjoy leading active, healthy lives, New Plymouth in New Zealand is a playground. At the base of the magnificent Mt. Taranaki and tucked up against the Tasman Sea, New Plymouth is a city on the North Island's untamed west coast. The amazing 12.7-kilometer long coastal boardwalk, the plethora of cafes, coffee shops, and restaurants, as well as the 105 km long state highway 45 (also known as "Surf") coastal road, are just a few of Plymouth's most well-known features. With over 100 surf sites and countless beaches, coves, and sand dunes to choose from, Surf Highway 45, which travels south, is known for its surfing.
If you enjoy camping, New Plymouth offers a ton of fantastic places to set up camp for no cost. Most of which offer breathtaking views of the beach and mountains. It's quite difficult to beat watching the sunset while relaxing with a bottle of wine at your campground near the beach!
