Nguom Ngao Cave
Nguom Ngao cave, located in the heart of a mountain in Gun village, Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, is an invaluable gift that nature bestows on Cao Bang province. Nguom Ngao cave in Tay language means "Horse cave" was discovered in 1921, put into tourist operation in 1996 and recognized as a national scenic spot in 1998.
In the cave there are many rooms, floors, stairs, corridors of all sizes; many stalactites, stalagmites, columns, curtains, ledges... of all shapes, are associated with coral trees, ships, golden waterfalls, silver waterfalls, upside down lotus, lonely stone pillars, fields step. All are created by nature, bringing a wonderful and magical landscape that is "unique." The deeper you go into the heart of the cave, the more shimmering and captivating the beauty becomes. There are many nooks and crannies that only one person can pass through, or there is a section of stalactites from the ceiling of the cave that suddenly blocks the path, and you have to bend over to cross.
