Nido Robotics is a company that designs and manufactures underwater drones for various purposes, such as marine research, inspection, exploration and education. Nido Robotics was founded in 2016 by Roy Torgersen and Enrique González, who were inspired by the discovery of the sunken Spanish galleon San José in Colombia. The company is based in Murcia, Spain, and has received funding from the European Union and crowdfunding campaigns.


Nido Robotics has two main products: Sibiu Nano and Sibiu Pro. Sibiu Nano is a small and lightweight drone that can be controlled with a smartphone or tablet. Sibiu Pro is a larger and more powerful drone that can carry additional sensors and cameras. Nido Robotics aims to democratize access to the underwater world and help people discover its wonders.
