Nitra Castle
Slovakia is known for its beautiful scenery and magnificent castles, both of which can be found in plenty. One of these defenses is the Nitra Castle, which is surrounded by natural beauty. It was built over the ruins of a once-magnificent Slav fort in Nitra's Old Town in the 11th century. St. Emmeram's Cathedral, which also contains a Bishop's residence, is the castle's beating heart.
The castle's outstanding splendor is complemented by some of Mother Nature's most beautiful creations, including a verdant meadow, rolling hills, and cloud-draped mountains. If you haven't already guessed, this is a breathtakingly beautiful place to visit while on vacation in Slovakia, and a must-see for shutterbugs looking for the ideal postcard.
It is made up of several parts. The 11th-century Romanesque Church of St. Emmeram is the oldest portion still standing. The 14th-century Gothic Upper Church and the 17th-century Lower Church are the cathedral's remaining two portions.
Nitra's castle is widely regarded as one of the country's most stunning historical landmarks. The castle offers a variety of tours across the complex that focus on the history of the castle as well as the culture of the city.
