North Creek
A 320-acre (129-hectare) lagoon called North Creek can be found in Grand Turk's central northern region. With only a tiny inlet to the ocean at the island's far northern end, the body of water is almost completely landlocked. It is considered as one of the best lakes to visit in Turks and Caicos Islands.
At North Creek, a variety of land and aquatic sports and activities are conducted. As a shore excursion for cruise passengers, kayak eco tours are being provided among the mangroves near the lagoon's northern edge. North Creek is fascinating and peaceful, despite not being the best location for the sport in Turks and Caicos (the larger Caicos Islands have much more impressive wetlands). Although they approach North Creek from different sides of the lagoon, ATV tours and horseback rides both stop there. It's also pretty intriguing to drive to the creek's northwest side. North Wells will be encountered on the way out. A large portion of the region is low-lying and has salt-tolerant marsh plants. In this area, one frequently encounters the tough and ferocious Turks and Caicos donkeys. Excellent seashell beachcombing can be found at Little Bluff Point, which is the furthest point to the northwest that is accessible by car. From the other side of the inlet, you can also see the Grand Turk Lighthouse.
