Offsuit
Offsuit is an unassuming pub situated inside Troquet on South's French cafe, sandwiched between FiDi and Chinatown in Boston's increasingly emerging Leather District. A backdoor entrance offers a very personal experience, with burgundy walls, leather love seats, and spinning vinyl evoking the somber atmosphere of a Prohibition-era speakeasy. At this modest, 20-seat eatery, order from a list of classics or go with the bartender's recommendation; the beverage directors create seasonal creative creations.
There will be a selection of fare from chef Tyler Stout, things like yakitori, a Chicago-style pork chop sandwich, charcuterie and cheese, crispy pig ears, a double burger, and more, and the real focus is the cocktail menu. One of the drinks on the menu includes the Lounge Act, which uses chamomile-infused apple brandy, a little dry curaçao to impart orange notes, and falernum, which is a popular ingredient in tiki drinks. It is served on a big rock of ice. Opening Ceremony is a Rittenhouse rye cocktail served with fresh ginger juice, lime, and Aperol. The drink menu will also include PBR and five or six wines-by-the-glass.
