OVHcloud
OVHcloud, officially OVH Groupe SAS, is a French cloud computing firm that provides virtual private servers (VPS), dedicated servers, and other web services. OVH possessed the world's largest data center in terms of surface area as of 2016.
It was the largest hosting provider in Europe and the third largest in the world in terms of physical servers as of 2019. The Klaba family created the company in 1999, and it is headquartered in Roubaix, France. In French law, OVH is organized as a simplified joint-stock company. OVHcloud became its public brand name in 2019.
OVHcloud has over 1.6 million clients and provides domain registrations, web hosting services, and cloud solutions. Enterprises account for 800 of the company's customers. In terms of value offering, OVHcloud follows a low-cost approach and competes mostly on pricing.
OVHcloud currently operates in 13 locations, including 33 data centers and 400,000 physical servers. Significantly, OVHcloud owns 30 of the 33 data centers where it operates. These data centers are located in eight countries: France, Canada, the United States, Australia, Germany, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Singapore.
