Park City, Utah
The Sundance Film Festival, the largest independent film festival in the United States, is held in the small town of Park City. Because of the three ski resorts in the vicinity, Park City and the neighboring Summit County attract a large number of people each year. Because the tourist population frequently outnumbers the permanent residents, the town provides its artist community with easy access to potential clientele from all over the world.
The Park City Summit County Arts Council provides significant public funding for the arts in this art city. It offers a variety of initiatives to assist budding artists in finding an audience. The Summit Arts Showcase, the County Fair Fine Arts display and the Art Elevated annual Christmas gift market are among them. FilmUtah, the Park City Arts & Music Conservatory, and the Deer Valley Music Festival are among the other well-known local arts groups.
