In Cardiff's city center sits the historic Grade II listed tavern known as The Golden Cross. This 1903-built Welsh landmark is still a favorite among the young and young at heart. The Iris Prize LGBT+ Film Festival is held in Wales every October. The festival hands out many awards for great films dedicated to the LGBT+ community. Filmmakers from all over the world introduce their work and enjoy meeting the audience at daily happy hours, special events, and parties including the annual karaoke competition.

During the month, you can see award-winning films from the Iris Prize Festival in Pontio in Bangor, Taliesyn in Swansea, and Aberystwyth Arts Centre. It is a month-long event that one should not miss this month.
