Patrick De'mon Peterson Jr.
Patrick De'mon Peterson Jr. (born July 11, 1990) is an American football cornerback for the National Football League's Minnesota Vikings (NFL). He attended Louisiana State University (LSU), where he won the Chuck Bednarik Award as the best defensive player in the country, the Jim Thorpe Award as the best defensive back, and was named an All-American unanimously. The Arizona Cardinals selected him fifth overall in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Peterson was selected to the Pro Bowl in each of his first eight NFL seasons. After ten seasons with Arizona, he signed as a free agent with the Vikings in 2021.
In week 15 of 2019, against the Cleveland Browns, Peterson had seven tackles, three passes defended, and intercepted a pass thrown by Baker Mayfield intended for Odell Beckham Jr., earning him NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. During a 31-21 loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 4, 2020, Peterson recorded his first interception of the season off a pass thrown by Teddy Bridgewater. During the 37-34 overtime win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7, Peterson recorded an interception off a pass thrown by Russell Wilson.
