Phat Son Temple - Buddha Mountain Center
Phat Son Temple, also known as Buddha Mountain Center, in Roanoke, Virginia, is a great Buddhist temple in the area. It was established on July 24, 2018, and it grew out of the Phat Son Buddhist Congregation.
The temple grounds are home to three statues: a 4.2-meter-tall statue of the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, a 1.6-meter-tall statue of the Laughing Buddha, and a 1.2-meter-tall statue of the Bodhisattva Guanyin.
The main hall of the temple is simple and solemn. At the center, there is a revered statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, carved from sandalwood and standing 1.2 meters tall. On either side of the statue, there are altars for the Patriarchs and ancestral tablets.
