Préfleuri International Alpine School
Préfleuri International Alpine School offers a bilingual English - French curriculum based on the French and British national curriculum for children from 3 to 13 years old. They follow the British and French national curriculum, reinforcing the fundamentals of vocabulary, spelling, grammar, communication and mathematics. Regular assessment through internal and external exams, such as Delf and Cambridge, ensures students meet high standards.
With a teacher-student ratio of 1:3, the attentive staff ensures that each child receives individualized attention. This chalet offers comfortable rooms for up to four children, allowing them to create their own personal space. The family-like atmosphere encourages unity, respect and cooperation. The boarding team, including educators, athletic coaches, housekeepers and other dedicated staff, work to create independent, confident and happy individuals.
The boarding team closely monitors academic progress, supports each child's efforts and builds confidence in their abilities. At the incredibly beautiful Villars resort, the school's mission is to instill in students a sense of environmental responsibility. Supervised outdoor play is an integral part of every day, allowing children to explore and play in spacious and safe grounds. The school believes that cultivating a love of nature and respect for the environment will contribute to the comprehensive development of students.
With a strong focus on supporting individual endeavours, including reading and homework support, nurturing confidence and self-esteem in each child. In Préfleuri International Alpine School, students are encouraged to practice their language abilities outside of school, particularly in French. Throughout their stay in boarding, the boarding crew actively arranges for students to practice speaking French and to listen to it aloud, therefore enhancing language learning and cultural immersion.
