It is a subsidiary of PTT Public Company Limited, a state-owned corporation. The firm was established on June 20, 1985. PTTEP's primary activity is petroleum exploration and production in Thailand and other countries. PTTEP Group had 40 petroleum exploration and production projects in 11 countries as of June 30, 2018: 16 in Thailand, 15 in Southeast Asia, 5 in the Americas, 3 in Africa, and 1 in Australia.
