Rangeley Lake

There are six lakes in the Rangeley Lakes region of Maine, including Rangeley Lake. Several streams feed the 2,550-hectare lake, and the water eventually exits at the northwest corner and flows into the Atlantic Ocean. A little distance away, Angel Falls offers a straightforward one-mile roundtrip hike with cascades that drop 90 feet and occasionally resemble an angel's wing.

Weather-wise, Rangeley is a great place to spend any time of year.
