Rendezvous Bay

Rendezvous Bay is on the south side of the beach. Head to the beach's northern end and swim out 50-75 feet in shallow muddy water, the clarity of it increases substantially. Parallel to the coast, let's swim out. Lots of turtles, urchins, and a wide variety of fish were seen on the south side of the beach. It is one of Best Diving Sites in Montserrat (UK).

When you go there in the winter, the current was mild, but it pushed north, so keep that in mind for the swim back. You can have the beach completely to yourself! This is the greatest location on the island, according to legend.

To dive in Rendezvous Bay, take a boat from Cars Bay, travel north through the Culture Center and turn right on the left to Green Monkey Dive Shop. Drive up into the active Gravel Pit and seek for a parking spot on the left. On the west side of the gravel pit, you'll notice the trail that switchbacks up the ride. It's simple to detect because it's surrounded by a chain link fence. Hike up and over, then back down for about a mile. It's steep, so wear good shoes.
