Roivant Sciences
Roivant Sciences is a pharmaceutical business that uses technology to produce drugs. Roivant creates biotech and healthcare technology subsidiaries.
Roivant Sciences was formed in 2014 by Vivek Ramaswamy. Ramaswamy's initial plan was to in-license drug candidates and form subsidiaries focused on specific therapeutic areas, intending to align incentives and boost capital efficiency. This strategy has evolved to incorporate the development of earlier stage medication candidates and platform technologies. Roivant is the parent company of over a dozen subsidiaries, including Immunovant, a majority-owned public firm focused on autoimmune illnesses, and Dermavant Sciences, a privately held commercial-stage startup focused on medical dermatology.
Roivant Health, a business branch of Roivant, also develops healthcare technologies. Roivant created and released Datavant, which assists healthcare organizations in securely sharing data, and was merged with Ciox to become a $7 billion corporation. Lokavant, which integrates clinical trial data to identify and manage risks in pharmaceutical development, is also part of Roivant's technological portfolio.
