Royal Palms Hotel
Built in 1903, the Royal Palms was once a private home, and many of its original architectural and decorative features are still present today. In fact, walking through its lobby and public spaces is akin to wandering through your wealthy grandmother’s living room: Oriental rugs cover creaky wood-paneled floors, tufted sofas and chairs sit next to elegant Victorian-style furniture, and walls with crown molding feature gold-framed paintings of dreamy Bermuda landscapes.
A blend of Colonial and Bermudian architecture features coral-hued façades, white shutters and a wraparound porch with the original Victorian Bathhouse tile. The setting is so quiet and private, it’s hard to believe it's centrally located just a ten-minute walk from downtown Hamilton’s shops and attractions.
While at the hotel, myriad delights await. Daybreak finds guests stirring their morning to life with complimentary continental breakfast, and each day comes to a relaxing, sociable conclusion with evening Wine Hour. Enjoy the island sun from the seating areas and lawn chairs on lush grounds or take a dip in the secluded pool. Explore the neighborhood with complimentary pedal bikes. Dining options include the award-wining Ascots Restaurant, annually acclaimed as one of Bermuda’s finest restaurants and wine cellars, as well as the more casual Just 24.
Address: 24 Rosemont Avenue, Pembroke HM 06, Bermuda.
