Royal Veterinary College

Royal Veterinary College (informally RVC) is a veterinary school located in London and part of the Commonwealth University of London. RVC was founded in 1791 and joined the University of London in 1949. It is the oldest and largest veterinary school in the UK and one of nine schools where students can study veterinary medicine.


As a federal institution of higher education, Royal Veterinary College (informally RVC), in fact, has some experience in veterinary medicine. RVC is one of the few schools in the world to be accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) in the UK, the European Association of Veterinary Education Institutions (EAEVE) in the EU and the Board of Education. American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) in the United States and Canada.


RCVS accreditation also allows RVC veterinary graduates to obtain a license to operate in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The Nursing course is accredited by the RCVS in the UK, the Accrediting Committee for Veterinary Nursing Education (ACOVENE) in the EU, and the Life Sciences Program is accredited by the Royal Biological Society.
