Russell Andrews Kerr

Mr. Kerr started his legal career with a highly regarded insurance defense firm located in Rockville, Maryland, a suburb of the Washington DC Metro Area, where he defended auto negligence cases and workers` compensation cases and also prosecuted damage to underground facilities for a large Mid Atlantic utility. Upon moving to Florida, Mr. Kerr expanded his areas of practice to include corporate, real estate and immigration matters.

In 2007, Mr. Kerr set up the law firm Russell Kerr, P.A. with an emphasis on business and real estate transactions, civil litigation and immigration law. Mr. Kerr has in-depth experience in real estate and business matters which involve a wide array of transactions from residential and commercial real transactions to small business matters to complex mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Kerr is also actively participated in finding practical immigration solutions for his clients in this ever-changing complex area of federal law. While working as a lawye here in South Florida, Kerr was instrumental in the development of a 25 MW biomass facility located in the Greater Toronto Area, which entered commercial operation in June 2015. Mr. Kerr is still on the Energy Index's board of directors. Kerr has a BA from the Franciscan University of Steubenville and a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Mr. Kerr may serve in the Florida Supreme Court, the Maryland Court of Appeals, and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Mr. Kerr may also practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
