SABIC is a Saudi Arabian company with headquarters in Riyadh. It was founded in 1976 and has expanded its operations to more than 50 countries globally. Currently, SABIC is the world's third largest producer of polyethylene products and the fourth largest globally for polypropylene and polyolefin products. In 2015, SABIC was listed by Forbes on the list of companies with the highest revenue globally with more than 39 billion USD.

Ranked among the world's largest petrochemical producers, 70% of the company's shares are owned by Saudi Aramco, the remaining 30% are publicly traded on the Saudi stock exchange.
