Santa Monica Place
Santa Monica Place is a modern outdoor mall in downtown Santa Monica that houses a variety of high-end retailers and eateries. It's located at the southern end of the Third Street Promenade shopping district, close to the famed Santa Monica Pier and beach. The original mall opened in 1980 and underwent extensive renovations in 2008. It later reopened in 2010, with a more modern style and a wider choice of merchandise.
Nordstrom and Bloomingdales are anchor tenants, together with internationally famous brands, restaurants, a vast food court, and a cinema. Beautiful pedestrian paths with views of the surrounding scenery may be found throughout the open-air complex. Santa Monica Place is home to approximately 90 stores and services, the majority of which are high-end companies. Well-known retail stores such as Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Nike, Zara, and Uniqlo may be found, as well as lifestyle businesses such as Apple and Foot Locker.
Because of the ArcLight Movie Theatre, the mall is also a popular after-dark destination. This movie theater company offers an onsite bar, special seats, and modern screens that play current titles. Santa Monica Place is home to numerous restaurants, pubs, and takeout options. The open-air mall has something for everyone, whether you're searching for a mid-shopping lunch break or a memorable dining event. For a more refined supper, consider the Sonoma Wine Garden on the third level, which has ocean views, or The Curious Palate, which serves artisan and farm-to-table cuisine.
