Scanline VFX is the next European animation studio on the list today. Founded in 1989, Scanline VFX is a German visual effects studio based in Munich, Vancouver, and Los Angeles.
Scanline VFX’s Flowline software, which is used to produce fluid effects like fire and water, is well-known and recognized all over the world. Scanline VFX worked on some notable projects like 300: Rise of an Empire, Iron Man 3, The Avengers, Man of Steel, and The Wolf of Wall Street, just to name a few. Scanline VFX was nominated for many famous and honorable awards, for example, the Academy Award for Best Achievement in Visual Effects and so on. In 2010, Scanline VFX earned the first Visual Effects Society Award.
