Schwan-Stabilo
Schwan-Stabillo is a German manufacturer of pens for writing, coloring, and cosmetics, as well as markers and markers for office use. The Schwan-Stabilo Corporation was founded 165 years ago in 1855 and is the largest manufacturer of highlighters in the world. As of 2020, it will become one of the leading stationery brands in the world.
Schwan-STABILO is one of the most successful family-owned businesses in Germany today, with over 610 million euros in turnover, over 4500 employees, and 22 sites around the world.
Gustav Adam Schwanhäusser laid the foundations for the company’s success back in 1855. He quickly recognized the opportunities offered by the burgeoning Industrial Revolution, obtained a loan of 32,000 guilders from his father, and purchased a pencil factory founded in 1855 in Nuremberg. More than 160 years and five generations later, this has become an international group with three independent divisions: Cosmetics, Writing Instruments, and Outdoor.
