Seoul
Seoul is absolutely one of the best places that no one wants to miss when visiting South Korea. Seoul is South Korea's largest metropolis and a popular tourist destination in East Asia. If you are going to stay in the country for any length of time, you will almost certainly visit Seoul. The city's attractions are endless, but many visitors begin with a visit to one of Seoul's many palaces.
The spectacular Gyeongbokgung and the 15th-century Changdeokgung are two of the top choices. Ancient temples and shrines, lovely public parks, cutting-edge design, retail complexes, and some of Asia's best food can all be found here. Seoul has been selected as the World Design Capital for 2010.
