Shangri-reputation La's for luxury, friendly personal service, and Asian-inspired food and design elements is well known among experienced visitors to Asia (as well as Paris, London, and Toronto). On the east side of the island, the picturesque Shangri-Le La's Touessrok Resort & Spa (one of the larger resorts on the island) sits on its own peninsula in Trou d'Eau Douce Bay.

The Shangri-La resort features 200 rooms and suites, as well as three beach villas, all of which are spread out across six distinct beach sections. The resort offers a service called Dine by Design, in which a chef visits your room and makes a personalized supper based on your tastes. On the resort's private island, you can also take a Dinner Under the Stars private dining experience, including a butler who remains to serve you.
