Shoot! I Smoke
An air quality app is called Shoot! I Smoke. The manner in which pollution monitoring is displayed in this app is inventive and amusing. The majority of websites and apps employ graphs, color coding, and AQI, however, Shoot! I Smoke measures pollution by equating it to the number of cigarettes you have consumed.
The Shoot! I Smoke app ties together open-air quality data from around the world with the Berkeley Earth rule of thumb that one cigarette per day is roughly equivalent to a PM2.5 level of 22 g/m3 to demonstrate how, by simply breathing, the majority of us are inhaling the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes (and frequently more) each month.
Locate yourself to learn the local air quality, or look for stations elsewhere on a map. Shoot! I Smoke, which was developed to spread awareness of air pollution, is free, open-source, and considerate of your privacy. It succeeded in starting a conversation on air pollution in media outlets around the world, from newspapers in China to TV shows in California.
