Shooting Sportsman Magazine
Shooting Sportsman launched in December 1987. Shooting Sportsman was founded by Steve Smith, David Wonderlich and David Thomas. This is a magazine devoted to hunting and handgun shooting. Shooting Sportsman is the world's largest, most popular magazine dedicated to shooting. They have all that is good about sports life from birding, guns and hunting dogs, to destinations around the world and across the globe. Some of the famous writers who have written for this magazine are Bruce Buck and Michael McIntosh.
They have their categories on shooting tips, hound and gun training. Shooting Sportsman usually contains an article about a gun manufacturer, not one of the big names but one of the smaller manufacturers in Europe. You probably won't necessarily buy what they recommend, but it will certainly be interesting to read about the history of the companies involved in creating them. The pictures of the guns they post are excellent.
Some of the guns reviewed are out of production, but in updates at the end of republished reviews, authors can often provide information on similar or even possible models being marketed under the name of another manufacturer. Other guns are rated as very "premium" and are hard to come by for most readers, but it's still interesting to read reviews to gain more knowledge. In addition, they have a category for articles about hunting. These are regular birding trips in Europe or trips to exclusive lodges in the US. It makes you love to dream about these hunts and conquer nature.
