Shutters on the Beach, a famous hotel in Santa Monica, is a terrific place to stay if you want to enjoy the beach and Los Angeles. It has excellent service and well-appointed rooms. Shutters on the Beach, arguably one of Santa Monica's most famous buildings, has long been a favorite with Los Angeles's entertainment industry set as well as tourists on vacation. The hotel had a renovation in 2005 under the direction of Michael S. Smith, the same interior decorator who worked on the Obama White House. With two enormous fireplaces and a living room lounge that frequently has live entertainment, the foyer is wonderfully welcoming.
The rooms share the same warmth, and the roomy quarters' hardwood floors, hand-woven carpets, shuttered doors, and blue accents make them feel like a coastal home. When renting an accommodation, take in mind that many don't have ocean views. While you're here, relax in the cabana-lined pool, ask the concierge to plan a beachside picnic, visit the spa, or take a spin on the bike path on one of the property's unique beach cruisers. There are two on-site eating options, including an all-day beachfront café and a courtyard restaurant with a menu heavily influenced by Italian cuisine and seafood.
